Last term Pukeokahu  school  went to Whakatane.  On the  first day we went to the sea. The best 3  things I liked about the sea was how it moved me. It looked funny. I loved it when the waves were big  because they would push me away. On the last day there were big waves. After that we went on a boat with Ken & Bev. Then we put on life jackets on and off we went. Then we stop to go fishing  and  got out the kayaks and went kayaking with an adult. They would drop us of at the other side of the shore.  Then a person  would come and pick   us up. When I got picked up I noticed in the kayaks  that there was this thing that you could look through but it was under us. Next we went to the Mataatua Marae. The first thing that we did was all all of the girl’s had to watch a movie.  The movie  was about the Mataatua Marae moving around the world. It was interesting. After we finished watching the movie it was the boy’s turn. Then we had to do a hongi. After that we went inside the mataatua marae. It was cool. Then we had to sit down  and watch this shadow movie it was about the the carvings when we were finished watching the movie I took some photos. Then we had to say our pepeha. After we finished saying our pepeha  we went in side this place and we ate food. When went to our  cabins  we had a swim in the pool. There were hydroslides. It was fun and funny

When we go to Whakatane for camp I expect to find a crab I want to see it clap with its pincer. But I hope it doesn’t pincer my feet.  I wounder what colour it would be may be red. Did you know  that when crabs grow to big  for there shells then they grow        another shell. I want to look for shells and take them home to listen to the sea when we go there we should say a                   to the sea then the sea will look after us. my dad said. At school we are getting stuff ready for camp. I would love to see a dog fish because Ive never seen one before and I wounder why they are called  dog fish may be they are  light  brown  I can’t wait. I would like to see a jelly fish sting a little fish it would be funny. but I might not beabel  to see one because there in the deep part bye the rip.

The Aorangi is a mountain it is big and up the top  it  is flat like a table. It looks like a table but its kind of dark purple. I think that it is beautiful. I love swimming in the river because its got lots of room and lots of people can swim at the same time. Did you know that in Maori we call our river rangitikei. I think that name in Maori is a very cool name. I live in the country which is far away but in the country there is no noise. You still can hear the sheep but thats ok. I live on the farm because I love going on the motorbike with Dad. Our school is special because we do reading) writing) and we do spelling. I all so have  lots of friends. pukeokahu.

My name is Paparangi  and my favourite thing is to play in the playground tag with my friends. Plus my best colour is pink and purple and I am 8 plus I have a cuddly cat and a lamb. I look after my pets. My favourite food is apples, vegetables chocolate, plus helping  Dad at work. its Fun. Plus I live in Pukeokahu. My best best  thing is to do colouring.  My best friends are Ashley, Logan, Lochy, Jacob , Tiana, Isabel, Micah.

On craft day I first made miniature gardens I put some grass in then a fence   and some animals.   The girl fed the yoghurt to the cat but the girl tricked it. The cat thought that it had yoghurt on his nose. When the cat found out there was nothing on his nose he was angry. But then the girl gave the yoghurt to the cat.

“Finally” said the cat.

I am getting ready for cross country.  I had to run around the paddock. I got the stitch when I was running. I came 11th. I had to have a big drink after my run. Then mum got a hot dog for me.

We entered the tui garden challenge so we had to make gardens, first we had to build our gardens my team made ours out of half rounds, then we put some sheep poo in the garden. Then we put in the plants, my group planted lettuce, dwarf beans, butter beans and carrots and we put bottles on top of our plants and then we planted our tomato’s first we put newspaper down then pea straw on top after that we put tires on top then we put in the manure and then planted the tomato’s and put bottles on top.
